About TUD
The Section collaborates with most branches of the Danish maritime industry, as well as with university departments throughout the world, and is also very active in international committees and organizations. External funding finances a significant part of the research: including EU projects KAPRICCIO, DEXTREMEL, HARDER, S@S and ROROPROB aiming at optimal propeller design and ship safety. The ISESO and the SASAK projects dealing with software development for ship design and operation and with aluminium connections, respectively, both sponsored by the Danish Maritime Authority. Staff: 10 faculty members, 3technical-administrative staff, 11 PhD and 2 post-docs.
